Nowadays, computers are very common in our society. Even the grown - up people I know, who were before were strangers to computers and reluctant to operate them, are now exposed and gradually learning the basics of computer operation (particularly the software aspect). One of the contributing factors that provoked them to learn this technology is their attraction to the innumerable benefits of the internet that they can't turn down and keep on enticing them everyday while watching the young ones enjoying it.
Computer has evolved basically from desktop computer to laptop/notebook computers until the latest invention of a more compact computer which is the Tablet PC. For us who are not yet familiar with Tablet PC perhaps we have questions in our mind like, what is a tablet PC? What's with that device that makes it an in-thing or an obsession to the young ones? How does it work? Is it an in-thing only for the young ones and not for the adults? These are just few of the many questions we have with regard to this new technology. Tablet Android Wifi
As we all know, there are two general parts of a Personal Computer (PC), the Hardware and the Software. First we will talk about the hardware side.
HARDWARE:
Screen Size:
Tablet PC, the name itself suggest that it's smaller in size compare to a desktop computer and even more compact than a laptop computer and are built in different sizes (inches) from 5" to 10", but the common size is 7" of 8" (inches).
Screen Type and Resolution:
What makes this versatile than a notebook or laptop is that it has a resistive or capacitive type of touch screen monitor and some are even provided with a multi touch screen that you can pinch and stretch images and web pages with 2 fingers to zoom! And since this is fully touch screen it means that you don't need to bring a keyboard with you in order to type a character while editing or click the icons on the screen.
On the other hand, this device has diverse screen resolution but most of them are having 800*480 pixels and some are 1024*600 pixels.
Processor:
The processor are in various model of mobile pc processor like: TI OMAP3 CORTEX A8, TCC 8900, Rockchip RK2808, Telechips TCC8900, Telechips TCC8902, ZT-180 (ARM Architecture), VIA MW8505 and may more. Most this processor has clock speed that ranges from 600MHz to 800MHz.
Memory:
A usual Android tablet PC has a 256MB of RAM and supports an extendable memory via SD, like the Herotab RK7 that supports extended memory via SD up to 32GB.
Network Adapter:
All Android tablet PCs are WIFI ready and most it are installed with an 802.11b/g wireless network adapter that has a range of 100 ft to 150 ft.
Battery:
Most are having a built in li-ion battery that allow us to browse the screen from 5 hours (WIFI off) to 6 hours (WIFI on). But there is one new tablet PC that has removable battery, it's the Witstech A81E that is run by the latest Android 2.2.
Weight:
This feature is what makes it more versatile than laptop or notebook computer because they are design to be a perfect mobile companion that weighs less than 1 kilogram. (Example: the Witstech A81E Android 2.2 weighs 0.39kg).
SOFTWARE
Operating System:
There are a multiple array of mobile operating systems currently available. Currently the biggest selling mobile operating system is Symbian OS, and smaller rivals include Android, Blackberry OS, iOS and Windows Mobile. Several mobile operating systems including Android are based off Linux and UNIX.
In the 2nd Quarter of 2010, the smartphones running under Android operating system were ranked first among the smartphone OS. One of the advantages of Android OS is that it has large community of developers writing application program that broaden the functionality of the devices running with Android OS. It is estimated that there are already more or less 70,000 available applications for Android, which makes it the 2nd most popular mobile development environment. Android OS versions are: Android 1.5 (Cupcake), Android 1.6 (Donut), Android 2.1 (Eclair), Android 2.2 (Froyo).

Application Programs:
With tablet PC you can edit documents in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, read PDF file, and many application programs and provided with an internet browser. Multimedia Player:
